Cut Mustard

ABOUT US

by company director, Simon Laidlaw

Cut Mustard TV came into being in 2005 as a shop window for selling my first solo project, a DVD entitled 'Porsche'd to the Limit' This hour-long documentary charted motoring journalist, Nick Gibbs and my attempt to drive a Porsche 924, from the UK all the way to the Gambia in Africa. This was no ordinary Porsche 924; it was a knackered heap bought for just £300. It had a garish paint-job a knackered clutch and a sun-melted interior that even Salvador Dali would be proud of! Having sold a good number of these DVDs (there are still a few available form good stockists!) I moved back into TV broadcast media but by that time I knew I had to go out on my own for good. My next Cut Mustard commission was covering the inaugural Autorickshaw challenge. This was filmed in India from the competitor's perspective for the Channel 4's 4car website.

Getting married, I looked at a few wedding videographer's showreels and was utterly appalled at the quality. As a result we now offer training for other aspiring wedding videographers. With twelve years broadcast TV behind me I knew that I could do it better, quicker and funkier for the same kind of money.

With a BAFTA award nomination and credits that include BBC1's Shops, Robbers and Videotape, BBC2's Mechannibals and In Search of Speed, documentaries on Robbie Williams and Pink Floyd for ITV as well as a presenting job on Sky1 to name but a few, Cut Mustard TV offers you broadcast quality memories of any special event at very reasonable prices.

We will make one day last a lifetime.
